Veronica Zavatone, US doctor and medical researcher. Zavatone qualified as a medical doctor in 1963 at the Women's Medical College in Philadelphia. Later known as Veronica Zavatone Coyne, here she is a clinical research fellow at the Institute for Cancer Research in Philadelphia, where she had just been awarded a Damon Runyon Cancer Fellowship. Zavatone's work looked at patient management and research activities, concentrating on clinical immunology related to malignant disease.
