Cw 7908 Fallen tree removed from L and L at Bagganley Bridge 24.2.2022 In one week three named storm’s “Dudley “Eunice and “Franklin blew across the country causing lot’s of damage, bring tress down and cutting power supplies to homes and factories. The canal system didn’t avoid trees falling across towpaths and into the water stopping navigation, with stoppages notice’s being issued from across the network. Thankfully there were not too many reports of tress falling across boats. This tree had fallen across part of the Leeds and Liverpool canal at Bagganley Bridge, no 78, near Chorley in Lancashire. It wasn’t too big and only caused the navigation to be closed to wide beam boats, with narrow boat’s being advised to pass with care. It was soon cut up and the remains left on the canal side, probably to be soon collected by a passing boater with a solid fuel stove.
