Christine Darden (born 1942) is an American mathematician, data analyst, and aeronautical engineer at NASA who contributed to supersonic flight research and was one of the African American women known as the Hidden Figures. She worked at NASA Langley Research Center beginning in 1967 as a human computer. The archival image records a presentation to Coast Guard personnel at Coast Guard Base Los Angeles-Long Beach in California.
